No! All of our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, clean fragrance oils, and are phthalate-free, cruelty-free, and vegan. Our flameless products are also made with clean fragrance oils and are phthalate-free, cruelty-free, and vegan.

Top - This is the initial impression the fragrance oil makes when you first smell a candle or remove the lid.
Middle - The middle note is the “heart” of the fragrance. It can take 10 to 20 minutes for the middle notes to fully develop. When you are burning a candle, the middle notes are the most prominent.
Base - The base notes are what give a candle lasting qualities. It is the scent that lingers even after the candle is extinguished.

Our scent names are inspired by favorite songs that capture the mood and essence of each fragrance, creating a deeper connection between music and atmosphere.

Shipping
-
We currently use either USPS or UPS to ship our products, depending on the location/timing of the order. You will receive an email with a tracking number either way.
We have also begun using Uber Packages for local Brooklyn deliveries. When you put in your shipping address during checkout, you will be able to see if you qualify for local delivery.
-
Of course. We pack all of our candles with lots of care but occasionally things happen. Shoot us an email at info@lukewarm.com with a photo of your broken product and we will ship you a replacement, free of charge.
-
Processing and shipping can vary between 2 days to 2 weeks. Because we create everything by hand in small batches, we do ask for a bit of patience.
Note: Orders placed around the holidays may take longer to ship, but we will provide a date you will receive your order by, to make sure you have time to wrap gifts in time for the holidays.

Yes! We absolutely hope you recycle your ceramic containers and give them new purpose! After your final burn, let the wax harden fully then pop your container in the fridge for at least an hour. Once frozen, carefully chip away at the wax and wick clip with a butter knife, then clean thoroughly with soap and water (and white vinegar or isopropyl alcohol, if necessary). Now you can reuse your container for knick knacks, makeup brushes, cotton rounds, even a succulent planter for your desk; the possibilities are endless.

If your wick is refusing to light or is self-extinguishing, it is likely because it is too tall. Unlike cotton wicks, wooden wicks need to be trimmed to about .2in/5mm above the wax before lighting each time. A good rule of thumb is to trim the charred pieces off first, and that is usually around the right height.

This is a completely normal effect for 100% soy wax and has no impact on the burn or scent throw.
